Packaging Category Manager 

Position: Interim  

Day Rate: £500 - £600

Location: North West   

The Packaging Category Manager will deliver on key procurement projects across the category space. You will work in an internal consultancy capacity, leading responsibility for packaging spend, quality and service.

You will develop key supplier relationships, ensuring that critical suppliers are managed effectively both internally and externally in order to maximise business. This will also include supporting the Strategic and Preferred supplier programmes across the Packaging portfolio.

Main Responsibilities for the Role will Include: 

  • Responsibility for sourcing all packaging materials.
  • Project manage all strategic sourcing initiatives across all packaging spend areas.
  • Identify new suppliers and negotiate existing supplier agreements to ensure that savings are made, and quality is kept to the highest standard.
  • Work alongside the New Product Development department to specify and design packaging for new product launches
  • Manage stock and conduct monthly stock checks
