Position: Interim (7 Month Contract)

Day Rate: £700 - £750 Per Day  

Location: City Of London     

The Senior Category Manager for IT Software Services defines the strategy for a range of sub-categories including IT Software and licensing on a global level and manages key supplier relationships. 

Driving strategic sourcing initiatives, defines and controls the category end-to-end Procurement cycle and manages, and optimizes supplier performance and contracts for all managed sub-categories within IT Software Services, whilst also ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities for the Role will Include: 

  • Developing category strategies & category strategic plans, Inc. initiative plans, for IT Services and validating them with the Head of Sourcing & Category Management, and consulting with Regional Category Managers and the respective internal customers
  • Conducting strategic sourcing initiatives, including fact-based negotiations (supplier and industry analysis, benchmarks, cost structure analysis) for the IT services category ensuring process compliance and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Defining the supplier management strategy and executing strategic supplier relationship management with key global suppliers within the category family
  • Leading major strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier relationship management programs with key regional suppliers for major regional sub-categories within the category family
  • Identifying supplier risk areas and quantifying exposure to risk areas for globally and regionally managed sub-categories within the category and executing risk mitigation actions
